Doctor Heals Package E: Creative Arts with Autistic and ADHD Kids (Chiang Mai, Thailand)

Children with autistic spectrum disorders or attention-deficit hyperactivity (ADHD) have different learning styles, communication channels, and abilities to manage emotions or behaviours. Creative arts, paintings and the increase use of non-verbal expressions have resulted in positive impacts to improve their confidence and self-esteem.

In our program for Package E, we collaborate with experienced artists who worked with autistic and ADHD children and medical doctors in hospitals. Your child will work with watercolour painting, clay models and prints, which are specifically designed for their emotional balance, increasing focus, building mental flexibility, and improving self-confidence.

Assistant Professor Kraisorn Wichaikul teaches in the Department of Fine Arts at Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna in Chiang Mai. He was the winner of outstanding award in the 14th Panasonic Contemporary Painting competition, and his painting “Three Women at Tha Phrachan” also received Platinum Award in the 3rd UOB Thailand Painting competition in 2012.

Master Trairat Pattapong, who teaches in the Faculty of Art and Architecture, Rajamagala University of Technology Lanna, will join Master Kraisorn in our creative arts sessions. He has a child with ADHD and will also share his personal experience in raising ADHD children with art therapy.

We also understand the intense challenges and stress of parents and caregivers. Special relaxation massages and spas are created for you and your child (between 5 to 12 years old). Massage for children can reduce their stress and increase calmness. You may choose to stay with your child during the massage session by specially trained spa experts.
